Sukta 3
यत् ते कृष्णः शकुन आतुतोद पिपीलः सर्प उत वा श्वापदः । अग्निष्टद् विश्वादगदं कृणोतु सोमश्च यो ब्राह्मणां आविवेश
yát te kṛṣṇáḥ śakúnā́ ā́tutoda pipīláḥ sárpa utá vā́ śvā́padaḥ | agníṣ tád viśvā́d agádaṃ kṛṇotu sómaś ca yó brāhmaṇā́m ā́viveśa ||
Whatsoever black bird hath smitten thee, or ant, or serpent, yea or savage beast—let Agni make that from all sides an antidote; and Soma too, who hath entered into the Brahmans.
உன்னை கரிய பறவை தாக்கியதோ, அல்லது எறும்போ, அல்லது பாம்போ, அன்றி கொடிய மிருகமோ கடித்த/தீண்டியதோ—அதனை அக்னி எல்லாத் திசைகளிலும் இருந்து ‘அகத’ (எதிர்விஷம்) ஆகச் செய்து விடட்டும்; மேலும் பிராமணர்களுள் பிரவேசித்த சோமனும் (அதை நீக்கட்டும்).
