इन्द्रो मा मरुत्वान् प्राच्या दिशः पातु बाहुच्युता पृथिवी द्यामिवोपरि । लोककृतः पथिकृतो यजामहे ये देवानां हुतभागा इह स्थ

IAST Transliteration

índro mā marútvān prā́cyā diśáḥ pātu bāhucyútā pṛthivī́ dyā́m iva úpari | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṃ hutábhāgā ihá sthá ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

May Indra, with the Maruts, guard me from the eastern quarter; and Earth, slipped from my arm, be over me as it were the Sky. The world-ordainers, the path-ordainers—those who have their portion of oblation among the Gods—we worship: here may they stand.

Translation

கிழக்கு திசையிலிருந்து மருத்களுடன் கூடிய இந்திரன் என்னைக் காக்கட்டும்; என் கையிலிருந்து வழுக்கிய பூமி, ஆகாயம் போல என்மேல் விரியட்டும். லோகக்ருத், பதிக்ருத்—தேவர்களிடையே ஹவி-பாகம் உடையவர்களை நாம் யஜனம் செய்கிறோம்; அவர்கள் இங்கே நிலைத்திருப்பாராக.
