इमे जीवा वि मृतैराववृत्रन्नभूद् भद्रा देवहुतिर्नो अद्य। प्राञ्चो अगाम नृतये हसाय सुवीरासो विदथमा वदेम
imé jīvā́ ví mṛtáir ā́vavṛtrann ábhūd bhadrā́ deváhutir no adyá | prā́ñco agāma nṛtáye hásāya suvī́rāso vidátham ā́ vadema ||
These living have turned them away from the dead: auspicious hath our oblation to the Gods become to-day. Forward have we gone—to dance, to laugh; rich in brave sons, may we address the assembly again.
இவ்வுயிருள்ளோர் இறந்தவர்களிலிருந்து விலகி அவர்களைத் தள்ளிவிட்டனர்; இன்று தேவர்களுக்கு நம் ஆஹுதி மங்களமாகியுள்ளது. நாம் முன்னே சென்றோம்—ஆடவும், சிரிக்கவும்; வீரப் புதல்வர்களால் செழித்து, மீண்டும் விதத (சபை) யில் உரையாடுவோமாக.
