Sukta 2
यो नो अश्वेषु वीरेषु यो नो गोष्वजाविषु । क्रव्यादं निर्णुदामसि यो अग्निर्जनयोपनः
yó no áśveṣu vīréṣu yó no góṣv ajāvíṣu | kravyā́daṃ nír nudāmasi yó agnír janayópanāḥ ||
Whoso, among our horses and our men, whoso among our cows and goats-and-sheep—him, the flesh-eater, we thrust away: even Agni, the helper who draws near to our folk.
எங்கள் குதிரைகளில், எங்கள் வீரர்களில்; எங்கள் பசுக்களில், ஆடு-செம்மறியாடுகளில்—அந்த கிரவ்யாதன் (மாமிசபட்சன்) என்பதை நாம் தள்ளி அகற்றுகிறோம்; மக்களிடம் அணுகி உதவும் அக்னியே அதுவாகும்.
