अलक्ष्मीनाशनम्। निर्लक्ष्म्यं ऽ ललाम्यं१ निररातिं सुवामसि । अथ या भद्रा तानि नः प्रजाया अरातिं नयामसि

IAST Transliteration

nír-lakṣmyàṃ ’ lalāmyáṃ́ nír-arā́tiṃ suvāmasi | átha yā́ bhadrā́ tā́ni naḥ prajā́yā arā́tiṃ nayāmasi ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Ill-fortune, the ominous blemish, and hostile non-giving—these we waft away. Then that which is auspicious, those [good powers] for us—for progeny—we lead on; and we lead away the hostility.

Translation

அலக்ஷ்மீ-நாசனம். நிர்லக்ஷ்மீ, அபசகுனக் குறி (லலாம்ய), மற்றும் பகைவரின் அராதி (அளிக்காமை/தடை)—இவற்றை நாம் அகற்றி விரட்டுகிறோம். பின்னர் எது பத்திரம் (நல்லது) எனும் அந்தச் சுப சக்திகளை நமக்காக—சந்ததி (ப்ரஜாயா) பொருட்டு—முன்னே கொண்டு வருகிறோம்; பகை/அராதியைத் தூரம் கொண்டு செல்கிறோம்.
