FAQs

To define the minimum knowledge-set required for a functioning state: normative legitimacy (trayī), wealth-creation and revenue foundations (vārttā), and enforceable order and protection (daṇḍanīti). Together these enable stability and prosperity (yogakshema).

It parallels the modern triad of (1) constitutional/ethical-legal foundations, (2) economic policy and productive capacity, and (3) rule of law with credible enforcement (policing, courts, and security). Effective governance requires all three to be aligned rather than pursued in isolation.

No specific office is named; the implied duty of the ruler is to integrate these domains—uphold legitimizing norms, secure economic activity and revenues, and apply enforcement and discipline through daṇḍanīti to protect subjects and maintain order.
