Amritbindu

ग्रन्थमभ्यस्य मेधावी ज्ञानविज्ञानतत्परः । पलालमिव धान्यार्थी त्यजेद्ग्रन्थमशेषतः ॥१८॥

ग्रन्थम् । अभ्यस्य । मेधावी । ज्ञान-विज्ञान-तत्परः । पलालम्-इव । धान्य-अर्थी । त्यजेत् । ग्रन्थम् । अशेषतः ॥

grantham abhyasya medhāvī jñānavijñānatatparaḥ | palālam iva dhānyārthī tyajed grantham aśeṣataḥ ||18||

ग्रन्थमभ्यस्य मेधावी ज्ञानविज्ञानतत्परः। धान्यार्थी पलालमिव ग्रन्थमशेषतः त्यजेत्॥१८॥

Having studied the text, the intelligent one—devoted to knowledge and realization—should abandon the text entirely, like one seeking grain (abandons) the chaff.
