नास्ति शम्भोः परं तत्त्वं, स हि सर्वकारणकारणम्। ब्रह्मविष्ण्वादिदेवानां श्रेष्ठो विभुः, गणानां परमेश्वरः॥
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It establishes Śambhu (Pati) as Paratattva—the highest Reality and the cause of all causes—implying that liberation comes through turning the soul toward Shiva rather than treating even great deities as ultimate.
By declaring Shiva supreme and all-pervading, it supports Linga worship as a Saguna doorway to realize the Nirguna Paratattva—Shiva is approached through form (Linga) yet known as the transcendent cause of all.
Contemplate Shiva as sarvakāraṇa-kāraṇa while repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and offer simple Linga-upacāras (water, bilva) with the understanding that all power and grace ultimately rest in Śambhu.
