Lord Shiva (in a philosophical instruction within the Kailasha Samhita)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Lalitā
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: Mantra-cosmogenesis: emergence of tattvas from bindu-nāda (subtle creation schema).
It presents Bindu (seed-point) and Nāda (primordial sound) as the subtle summary of all tattvas, indicating that the entire cosmos and its principles are comprehended and transcended by realizing Shiva as the source and support of vibration and consciousness.
The Linga is revered as the sign of the formless (nirguṇa) Pati appearing as an accessible focus (saguṇa-upāsanā). Bindu-Nāda points to the inner, subtle ‘mark’ of Shiva—sound and seed—from which form and worship-forms arise and into which they resolve.
It supports mantra-japa and inner listening (nāda-anusandhāna): steady repetition of Shiva-mantra (especially the Panchakshara) with contemplation of the subtle sound-current and the seed-point of awareness, as a yogic aid toward Shiva-realization.
