चरुं श्रपयित्वा तस्मिन् समिदन्नाज्यभेदतः । रौद्रसूक्तेन जुहुयात् सद्योजातादि-पञ्चभिः ॥
Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva’s ritual procedure as taught in the Kailāsa tradition)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Mantra: रौद्रसूक्तेन सद्योजातादि पञ्चभिः
Type: rudram
It teaches that disciplined offering (homa) united with Śiva-mantra—especially the Raudra Sūkta and the five Sadyojātaādi mantras—purifies the worshipper and invites Śiva’s grace, making external ritual a vehicle for inner surrender.
The homa is a Saguna mode of worship: through fire, offerings, and specific Rudra-mantras, the devotee approaches Śiva in manifest, mantra-embodied form—aligned with Linga-oriented devotion and temple/household rites.
It prescribes a Rudra-homa: cook the caru, then offer oblations with samid, grain, and ghee while reciting the Raudra Sūkta and the five Panchabrahma mantras beginning with Sadyojāta—keeping the mind steady on Śiva as the indwelling Lord (Pati).
