अत्रेः संक्षिप्तेऽस्मिन्नग्निसूक्ते स्तुत्या समिधा चाग्निरुत्थाप्यते, यथा स यजमानस्य हविर्देवानां सभां प्रति वहति। अग्निर्नवजातो ज्योतिरिव तमोऽभिभवन् शत्रूणि दुरितानि च जयति; ‘गावः/रश्मीन्’, आपः, रोचनं दिवं च पुनरावर्तयति। स घृतेन स्तोमैर्मन्त्रैश्च सुमतिना च बलं वर्धते।

अग्निं स्तोमेन बोधय समिधानो अमर्त्यम् । हव्या देवेषु नो दधत् ॥
स्तोमेनेहाग्निं बोधय—समिधानममर्त्यम्। स नो हव्याः देवेṣu दधातु, दिव्ये सङ्गेऽस्माकं कामं प्रतिष्ठापयन्॥
