Garuda’s Arrival and the Release from the Serpent-Arrow Bond
तावुत्थाप्यमहातेजागरुडोवासवोपमौ ।उभौतौसस्वजेहृष्टोरामश्चैनमुवाचह ।।6.50.41।।
tāv utthāpya mahātejā garuḍo vāsavopamau |
ubhau tau sasvaje hṛṣṭo rāmaś cainam uvāca ha ||6.50.41||
ततः महातेजा गरुडः वासवोपमौ तौ उभौ उत्थाप्य, हृष्टः सन् उभौ तौ सस्वजे; ततः रामः एनम् उवाच।
Raising up both the princes who were extraordinarily brilliant and equalled Indra, Garuda embraced Rama joyfully and thus spoke.
Gratitude and honoring benefactors: dharma includes acknowledging help received and responding with respectful speech and conduct.
Garuḍa physically lifts and embraces the freed princes; the scene transitions to Rāma’s words of thanks.
Affectionate protection (from Garuḍa) and grateful composure (from Rāma as he prepares to speak).
