"King! 'The tears of noble women should not fall on the earth's surface' is a popular saying. This calamity is truly a result to you in return."
The suffering of the righteous is morally consequential; dharmic life carries a protective moral power, and injustice toward such people yields inevitable repercussions.
The speaker explains Rāvaṇa’s misfortune as the karmic outcome of wronging devoted women whose grief and tears carry a curse-like potency.
Prativratā-dharma: fidelity, moral purity, and inner strength—presented as spiritually efficacious.
