Ravana’s Fury and Rama’s Harsh Admonition
क्षिप्ताःश्चाशुशरास्तेनशस्त्राणिविविधानि च ।मरणार्थायवर्तन्तेमृत्युकालोऽभ्यवर्तत ।।।।
kṣiptāś cāśu śarās tena śastrāṇi vividhāni ca |
maraṇārthāya vartante mṛtyu-kālo ’bhyavartata ||
तेन क्षिप्ताः शीघ्रशराः शस्त्राणि विविधानि च। मरणार्थायैव वर्तन्ते; मृत्युकालोऽभ्यवर्तत॥
Ravana's arrows of several kinds being destroyed, perceiving that his death is objective Rama's missiles, and that the time of death appeared, he was unable to act.
Karma ripens into consequence: when adharma matures, even one’s efforts turn fruitless. The verse teaches that power without righteousness cannot avert the moral outcome.
