Svayamprabha’s Dialogue with the Vanaras
अस्माद्धंसा जलक्लिन्नाः पक्षैस्सलिलविस्रवैः।कुररास्सारसाश्चैव निष्पतन्ति पतत्रिणः।।।।
asmād haṃsā jalaklinnāḥ pakṣaiḥ salilavisravaiḥ | kurarāḥ sārasāś caiva niṣpatanti patatriṇaḥ ||
अस्मात् स्थानात् जलक्लिन्नाः हंसाः, पक्षैः सलिलविस्रवैः सिक्ताः; कुरराः सारसाश्च पतत्रिणोऽपि निष्पतन्ति स्म।
'Drenched in water the swans, kuraras, and sarasas were seen emerging with water dripping from thier wings.
Dharma-guided action uses reason without rashness: observing natural signs (wet birds) supports a truthful inference about water and safety.
The monkeys notice water-drenched birds flying out, suggesting an internal water source and influencing their decision to enter the cave.
Practical wisdom—reading evidence from nature to choose a course of action.
