Narada’s Summary to Valmiki
तं निहत्य महाबाहुर्ददाह स्वर्गतश्च स: ।स चास्य कथयामास शबरीं धर्मचारिणीम् ।।।।श्रमणीं धर्मनिपुणामभिगच्छेति राघव । 1151
taṃ nihatya mahābāhur dadāha svargataś ca saḥ | sa cāsya kathayāmāsa śabarīṃ dharmacāriṇīm | śramaṇīṃ dharmanipuṇām abhigaccheti rāghava ||
तं निहत्य महाबाहुः रामो ददाह; स च स्वर्गतः सन् अस्य कथयामास—“राघव, धर्मचारिणीं श्रमणीं धर्मनिपुणां शबरीम् अभिगच्छ” इति॥
Rama son of Dasaratha, destroyer of enemies and possessing great splendour approached Sabari who duly worshipped him৷৷
