The Slaying of the Fourteen Demons Sent by Śūrpaṇakhā
उपगम्य खरं सा तु किञ्चित्संशुष्कशोणिता।।।।पपात पुनरेवार्ता सनिर्यासेव सल्लकी।
upagamya kharaṃ sā tu kiñcit saṃśuṣkaśoṇitā |
papāta punar evārtā saniryāseva sallakī ||
सा तु खरम् उपगम्य किञ्चित्संशुष्कशोणिता । आर्ता पुनरेव पपात सनिर्यासेव सल्लकी ॥
When Surpanakha saw the demons fall dead on the battleground, she ran to Khara,her brother and told in detail about the death of the demons.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē araṇyakāṇḍē viṅśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the twentieth sarga of Aranyakanda of the holy Ramayana the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
