FAQs

It summarizes dāna-phala (the fruits of charity): specific gifts are said to yield corresponding refined enjoyments—excellent dwellings, beauty, lunar-world residence, and superior conveyances.

It indicates sālokya with Candra—dwelling in the same realm/world associated with the Moon, a heavenly reward described in dharma and merit contexts.

Generosity is presented as a dharmic act that produces tangible karmic outcomes; giving what supports others’ well-being (shelter, resources, clothing, transport) is praised as meritorious.
