Unspecified (context-dependent within Svarga-khaṇḍa 54; presented as prescriptive instruction)

Concept: Auspicious comportment includes correct wearing of garments (not reversed/inauspicious) and adherence to vidhi in marriage—choosing a virtuous, suitable spouse.

Application: Attend to small daily disciplines (how one dresses, conducts rituals) and make major life choices (marriage) with ethical compatibility and virtue as primary criteria.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A carefully ordered household ritual scene: a man adjusts his garment in the auspicious manner before a small altar, ensuring nothing is worn reversed or distorted. Nearby, elders consult palm-leaf texts as a virtuous bride approaches with modest grace, symbolizing marriage chosen by vidhi and suitability.","primary_figures":["gṛhastha dvija","elders/ācārya","prospective bride"],"setting":"Courtyard with altar, sacred thread, palm-leaf manuscripts, and wedding selection rites implied (not full ceremony).","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["warm saffron","ivory","copper","peacock blue","rose pink"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: auspicious domestic altar scene; dvija adjusts garment correctly (savya orientation), elders hold śāstra; bride depicted with modest ornaments; gold leaf on altar lamps and borders, rich reds/greens, jewel-like detailing, symmetrical composition.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: refined courtyard with delicate architecture; elders reading palm leaves, the groom-to-be correcting his drape; bride in soft pink with understated jewelry; gentle dawn light, cool shadows, intricate textile patterns.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, stylized figures; emphasis on correct garment drape and ritual propriety; warm yellow-red background, green accents, temple-wall aesthetic with lamp motifs.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: ornate floral borders and lotuses; central domestic altar with śaṅkha-cakra motifs; figures arranged ceremonially, emphasizing auspicious order; deep blue ground with gold filigree and peacock motifs."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["household bell","murmured mantra","rustle of silk","distant conch"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: nāpasavyam → na + apasavyam; parīdadhyādvāso → parīdadhyāt + vāsaḥ; āharedvidhivat → āharet + vidhivat; dārānsadṛśānātmanaḥ → dārān + sadṛśān + ātmanaḥ.

FAQs

It advises proper, auspicious dress (not worn in an inverted/inauspicious way and not in a disfigured manner) and enjoins choosing a spouse through proper procedures and compatibility.

It implies selecting a spouse who is compatible with one’s own nature and station—well-matched in character and suitability—so that household life supports dharma.

Both are treated as parts of disciplined dharmic living: outward order (proper attire) and inner/social order (a virtuous, suitable marriage) together cultivate auspiciousness and stability.
