It presents dharma as expressed through humility and right conduct—showing reverence to brāhmaṇas and honoring one’s teachers and revered elders.
Sūta is speaking as the narrator, introducing the Pāṇḍavas’ dharma-aligned actions as the scene for the chapter’s unfolding events.
It implies satisfying or honoring through appropriate offerings or respectful service—often connected with rites of propitiation, hospitality, and reverential giving.
