FAQs

The epithet “hari-tulya-parākramaḥ” highlights Skanda’s exceptional martial prowess by measuring it against Hari, a standard of supreme strength and divine capability in Purāṇic literature.

They describe two forceful battlefield actions: “vicakarta” conveys striking/severing (cutting down), while “nirbibheda” conveys piercing/rending through the opponents with excellent arrows.

Within Purāṇic narrative style, the verse emphasizes steadfast courage and decisive action in the face of opposition, portraying divine valor as disciplined power used to uphold cosmic order (dharma).
