FAQs

Gaṇapati (Gaṇeśa) is approached as a divine leader and remover of obstacles; the Devas’ request frames him as a decisive aid in securing success and overcoming impediments.

It is a narrative bridge: after reporting the Devas’ request, it signals that Gaṇeśa is about to respond, continuing the dialogue flow of the chapter.

Before undertaking a difficult aim (like seeking victory), one should seek rightful guidance and divine support, acknowledging that success depends on removing obstacles and acting with proper counsel.
