Concept: Authority and accomplishment are sanctified through abhiṣeka and humility—honoring parents/elders via pradakṣiṇā before proceeding to great deeds.

Application: Before major undertakings, perform a ‘personal abhiṣeka’: cleanse, pray, seek blessings, and express gratitude to parents/mentors; let speed be guided by reverence.

Primary Rasa: vira

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

It highlights abhiṣeka (ritual consecration/anointing) and pradakṣiṇā (respectful circumambulation), especially directed toward one’s parents.

Lambodara is a well-known epithet of Gaṇeśa, meaning “pot-bellied.” The compound suggests an association with or bearing of Lambodara.

The verse implies reverence and gratitude toward parents (shown through pradakṣiṇā) as an essential marker of wisdom and right conduct.
