वेन उवाच—“यन्मे पूर्वकृतं पापं तेनाहं मोहितो विभो; अतो मामुद्धरास्मात्त्वं पापाच्चैव सुदारुणात्।”

Sandhi Resolution Notes: यन्मे = यत् मे; तेनाहं = तेन अहम्; मामुद्धर = माम् उद्धर; उद्धरास्मात्त्वं = उद्धर अस्मात् त्वम्; पापाच्चैव = पापात् च एव.
He admits that a previously committed sin (pūrvakṛta pāpa) has caused his delusion, and he seeks deliverance from its consequences.
The verse frames wrongdoing as a cause of moral and spiritual confusion, and it highlights confession and seeking upliftment as the first steps toward correction.
It primarily expresses penitential surrender to a higher power (“O Lord… rescue me”). While compatible with bhakti, it is more directly a plea for redemption from sin and delusion.
