durgāloke vasetkalpamihaivāgacchate punaḥ | naro vā yadi vā nārī sarvabhogasamanvitau || 37 ||
दुर्गालोके स कल्पं वसेत्, ततः पुनरिहैवागच्छति; नरो वा नारी वा सर्वभोगसमन्वितः।
Narada (traditional dialogue frame with Sanatkumara in the Narada Purana)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It states a phala (result) that devotional merit can grant: residence in Durgā’s divine realm for an aeon, followed by return to earthly life with abundant enjoyments—showing how punya yields both celestial and worldly outcomes.
By emphasizing Durgā-loka as an attained realm, it implies that sincere devotion and associated sacred observances can elevate the devotee; the promised “sarvabhoga” reflects the Purāṇic motif that bhakti brings grace and auspicious fortune.
The verse uses Purāṇic time-reckoning (“kalpa”), aligning with Jyotiṣa-style calendrical cosmology; it also functions as a ritual phala-statement commonly attached to tirtha/vrata practice.
