Adhyaya 81 — Suratha and Samadhi Seek Sage Medhas; Introduction to Mahamaya and the Madhukaitabha Origin Account
evam eṣā samutpannā brahmaṇā saṃstutā svayam | prabhāvam asyā devyās tu bhūyaḥ śṛṇu vadāmi te ||
The episode is framed as revelation of Devī’s prabhāva: even the creator-god recognizes and praises the higher power that enables cosmic functioning.
Serves as connective tissue in Manvantara narration, pointing to recurring divine interventions across time-cycles.
Devī’s ‘manifestation’ is the surfacing of consciousness/power when invoked by stuti; praise (stotra) operates as an awakening key within the mythic-symbolic language.
