Adhyaya 77 — Sanjna’s Withdrawal from Surya: The Birth of Yama and Yamuna, and the Emergence of Chhaya
संज्ञां पृष्टस्तदा तस्मै कथयामास विश्वकृत् ।
आगतैवेह मे वेष्म भवतः प्रेषितेति वै ॥
saṃjñāṃ pṛṣṭas tadā tasmai kathayāmāsa viśvakṛt / āgataiv eha me veśma bhavataḥ preṣiteti vai
संज्ञाविषये पृष्टे विश्वकृत् (विश्वकर्मा) तमुवाच—“सा खलु तव प्रेषिता मम गृहमागता।”
Inquiry guided by respect yields clarity; also, responsibility is subtly returned—events unfold not merely by others’ fault but through one’s own prior actions.
