Purāṇic instruction is staged as lineage-knowledge transmitted respectfully from seer to inquirer. The emphasis on ‘vistara’ (detail) signals that cosmology is also pedagogy: careful listening is itself a dharmic act.
Manvantara (introducing the next Manu) and Vaṃśa/Vaṃśānucarita (promising the origin-story and lineage context of Raivata).
The chapter boundary (colophon) functions like a ritual transition: closing one cosmic ‘cycle-account’ before opening another, mirroring the mind’s need to ‘seal’ one understanding before receiving the next.
