करोत्यात्महितं कुर्वन् विश्वासञ्च महाजने ।
देवताः पितरो विप्रा मित्रार्थिविकलादयः ॥
karoty ātma-hitaṃ kurvan viśvāsaṃ ca mahā-jane | devatāḥ pitaro viprā mitra-arthi-vikalādayaḥ ||
एवं कृत्वा स स्वहितं साधयति, महत्सु च विश्वासं लभते। देवाः पितरः ब्राह्मणाः सुहृदः याचकाः पीडिताः चान्ये च तं प्रति अपेक्षन्ते॥
