हरन्ति तेषां जिह्वाश्च जायमानाः पुनः पुनः ।
तावतो वत्सरानेते वज्रतुण्डाः सदारुणाः ॥
haranti teṣāṃ jihvāś ca jāyamānāḥ punaḥ punaḥ /
tāvato vatsarān ete vajratuṇḍāḥ sadāruṇāḥ
ते सदा भीषणाः पक्षिणो वज्रतुण्डाः तेषां जिह्वाः समुत्कृत्य हरन्ति; जिह्वा पुनः पुनर्जायते, तावद्वर्षाणि पुनः पुनस्ताः छिद्यन्ते।
