यद्येतदेवं जानासि न च मामभिशड्कसे । आर्या मतिं समास्थाय शाम्य भारत पाण्डवै:,भारत! यदि तुम इस बातको इस रूपमें जानते हो और मुझपर तुम्हें तनिक भी संदेह नहीं है तो मेरे कहनेसे श्रेष्ठ बुद्धिका आश्रय लेकर पाण्डवोंके साथ संधि कर लो
yady etad evaṁ jānāsi na ca mām abhiśaṅkase | āryāṁ matiṁ samāsthāya śāmya bhārata pāṇḍavaiḥ ||
यद्येतदेवं जानासि न च मामभिशङ्कसे । आर्यां मतिं समास्थाय शाम्य भारत पाण्डवैः ॥
राम उवाच
When one recognizes the truth and trusts reliable guidance, one should adopt ārya (noble) judgment and choose peace—reconciliation is presented as the ethically superior option to conflict.
In the pre-war context of the Udyoga Parva, Rāma addresses a Bharata/Kuru figure, urging him: if he understands the situation correctly and does not doubt the speaker, he should take up noble counsel and conclude peace with the Pāṇḍavas.
