Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)

अप्रवृत्तं सुदुर्बुद्धे यस्मादेतत्‌ त्वया कृतम्‌ तस्मादद्य प्रभृत्येव स्त्री त्वं सा पुरुषस्तथा,तदनन्तर महात्मा यक्षराजने उस यक्षसे कहा--'पापबुद्धि और पापाचारी यक्ष! तूने यक्षोंका तिरस्कार करके यहाँ शिखण्डीको अपना पुरुषत्व दे दिया और उसका स्त्रीत्व ग्रहण कर लिया है। दुर्बुद्धे! तूने जो यह अव्यावहारिक कार्य कर डाला है, इसके कारण आजसे तू स्त्री ही बना रहे और शिखण्डी पुरुषरूपमें ही रह जाय”
