Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
भीष्म उवाच तयो: संवदतोरेवं राजन् रामाम्बयोस्तदा । ऋषि: परमधर्मात्मा इदं वचनमत्रवीत्,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--राजन्! परशुराम और अम्बामें जब इस प्रकार बातचीत हो रही थी, उसी समय परम धर्मात्मा ऋषि अकृतव्रणने यह बात कही--
bhīṣma uvāca | tayoḥ saṃvadator evaṃ rājan rāmāmbayoḥ tadā | ṛṣiḥ paramadharmātmā idaṃ vacanam abravīt |
भीष्म उवाच—तयोः संवदतोरेवं राजन् रामाम्बयोस्तदा। ऋषिः परमधर्मात्मा अकृतव्रण इदं वचनमब्रवीत्॥
भीष्म उवाच
That intense personal disputes should be brought under the guidance of dharma: the entrance of a 'parama-dharmātmā' sage signals that righteous counsel is needed to steer emotion and pride toward a principled resolution.
Bhishma is recounting events to the king: as Parashurama and Amba are in conversation, the sage Akṛtavraṇa intervenes and begins to speak, marking a shift from private argument to authoritative moral guidance.
