वैशम्पायन उवाच
After a sacred recitation concludes, dharma requires gratitude expressed through proper hospitality: first feed the learned Brahmins, then give them suitable gifts; also honor the reciter with adornment, good food, and respectful donations.
Vaiśampāyana describes the correct concluding conduct after the completion of a full sacred narration (kathā): the audience/host should complete the rite by feeding Brahmins, giving them appropriate dāna, and then specially honoring and rewarding the vācaka (reciter).
