Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)

नक्तमेव च भक्तानि पाचयेत नराधिप: । न दिवा ज्वालयेदग्निं वर्जयित्वा5डग्निहोत्रिकम्‌,राजाको चाहिये कि वह युद्धके अवसरोंपर नगरके लोगोंको रातमें ही भोजन बनानेकी आज्ञा दे। दिनमें अग्निहोत्रकों छोड़कर और किसी कामके लिये कोई आग न जलावे

naktam eva ca bhaktāni pācayet narādhipaḥ | na divā jvālayed agniṃ varjayitvā agnihotrikam ||

नक्तमेव च भक्तानि पाचयेत नराधिपः । न दिवा ज्वालयेदग्निं वर्जयित्वाग्निहोत्रिकम् ॥ युद्धकाले पुरवासिनः सर्वे रात्रौ एव पाकं कुर्वन्तु; दिवा तु अग्निहोत्रिणां विहिताग्निं विना कश्चिदपि वह्निं न प्रज्वालयेत् ।
