पाण्डुरेण च माल्येन पताकाभिश्न मेदिनी । संस्कृतो राजमार्गो5 भूद्धूपनैश्व प्रधूषित:,सफेद मालाओं तथा पताकाओंसे नगरभूमिकी अद्भुत शोभा हो रही थी। राजमार्गको झाड़-बुहारकर वहाँ छिड़काव किया गया था और धूपोंकी सुगन्ध फैलायी गयी थी
pāṇḍureṇa ca mālyena patākābhiś ca medinī | saṃskṛto rājamārgo ’bhūd dhūpanaiś ca pradhūṣitaḥ ||
पाण्डुरेण च माल्येन पताकाभिश्च मेदिनी । संस्कृतो राजमार्गोऽपि धूपनैश्च प्रधूपितः ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
