Educational Q&A

That a definitive, well-ascertained dharmic teaching—especially when received through devoted listening—yields inner happiness and spiritual benefit. The verse highlights śravaṇa as an ethical-spiritual practice: hearing true instruction refines understanding and supports right conduct.

Vaiśampāyana concludes or commends a section by affirming that the sage’s settled teaching has been proclaimed, and that the account of an assembly involving ṛṣis and the gods has been related; those who listen with devotion gain excellent happiness.
