परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269

एषैव निष्ठा सर्वत्र यत्‌ तदस्ति च नास्ति च । एतदन्त च मध्यं च सच्चासच्च विजानतः,सम्पूर्ण शास्त्रोंकी एकमात्र निष्ठा यही है कि जो-जो दृश्य पदार्थ है वह प्रतीतिकालमें तो विद्यमान है, परंतु परमार्थ ज्ञानकी स्थितिमें बाधित हो जानेपर वह नहीं है। ज्ञानी पुरुषकी दृष्टिमें सदसत्‌ स्वरूप ब्रह्म ही इस जगत्‌का आदि, मध्य और अन्त है
