ततो<ब्रवीन्महादेव: पचस्वैतानि सुव्रते,“तब महादेवजीने कहा--'सुव्रते! इन बेरोंको पका दो।” उनके इस प्रकार आदेश देनेपर यशस्विनी अरुन्धतीने ब्राह्मणका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे उन बेरोंको प्रज्वलित अग्निपर रखकर पकाना आरम्भ किया
tato 'bravīn mahādevaḥ pacasvaitāni suvrate |
ततो महादेवः प्राह— “सुव्रते, एतानि बदराणि पच।” तस्याज्ञां श्रुत्वा यशस्विनी अरुन्धती ब्राह्मणस्य प्रीत्यर्थं समिद्धेऽग्नौ तानि बदराणि निधाय पक्तुम् आरब्धवती।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is expressed through prompt, respectful service performed with a pure motive—here, Arundhatī’s readiness to fulfill a righteous request and honor a brāhmaṇa guest.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Mahādeva instructs the virtuous Arundhatī to cook certain fruits; she immediately begins roasting the jujubes on the fire, intending to please the brāhmaṇa.
