उत्पातदर्शनम् — Portents and Kāla among the Vṛṣṇis
तान् दृष्टवा पततस्तूर्णमभिक्रुद्धान् जनार्दन: । न चुक्रोध महातेजा जानन् कालस्य पर्ययम्,उन्हें कुपित होकर तुरंत धावा करते देख महातेजस्वी श्रीकृष्ण कालके उलट-फेरको जाननेके कारण कुपित नहीं हुए
tān dṛṣṭvā patatas tūrṇam abhikruddhān janārdanaḥ | na cukrodha mahātejā jānan kālasya paryayam ||
तान् दृष्ट्वा पततस्तूर्णमभिक्रुद्धान् जनार्दनः । न चुक्रोध महातेजा जानन् कालस्य पर्ययम् ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even when confronted by aggressive, angry opponents, the wise restrain wrath. Understanding Kāla—the larger, inevitable turning of events—supports equanimity and ethical self-mastery rather than reactive violence.
As enraged men rush forward to attack, Kṛṣṇa observes them but does not respond with anger. He remains composed because he recognizes that the unfolding calamity is driven by the destined course of Time.
