युद्धे सहिष्पे हिमवानिवाचलो धनंजयं क्रुद्धममृष्यमाणम् । 'वृक्षोंकी तोड़-उखाड़ देनेवाली प्रचण्ड वायुके समान प्रमथनशील
yuddhe sahiṣpe himavān ivācalaḥ dhanañjayaṁ kruddham amṛṣyamāṇam | vṛkṣāṇāṁ toḍa-ukhāḍa-dāyinī pracaṇḍa-vāyur iva pramathanaśīlaḥ balavān prahārakuśalaḥ toḍa-phoḍa-kārī tathā amarṣīlaḥ kruddha arjunasya vegaṁ adya ahaṁ yuddhasthale himālaya-parvata-samānam acalaḥ bhūtvā sahiṣye ||
सञ्जय उवाच—युद्धेऽहं सहिष्ये धनञ्जयं क्रुद्धममृष्यमाणम्। स वृक्षभङ्गोन्मूलनसमो महावात इव प्रमथनशीलः, बलवान्, प्रहारकुशलः, विध्वंसकश्च; तथाप्यद्य रणभूमौ हिमवानिवाचलो भूत्वा तस्य वेगं धारयिष्यामि।
