Educational Q&A

The verse underscores dharmic yajña as an act of generous offering and giving: abundance in offerings (milk, ghee, honey, fine foods) and in gifts (garments, ornaments) reflects responsibility toward guests, priests, and the social order, making ritual inseparable from charity and hospitality.

Nārada is describing the characteristics of a person’s sacrifices, emphasizing that in all of that person’s yajñas there is plentiful, high-quality provision—both offerings and distributable gifts—indicating the performer’s prosperity and commitment to dharma through ritual generosity.
