व्यास उवाच
The verse highlights how lobha (greed) erodes moral boundaries: when desire dominates, even spaces protected by social and royal norms—like a king’s residence—are violated, illustrating adharma’s spread through unchecked appetite.
Vyāsa narrates that greedy bandits/marauders enter the king’s house, indicating an intrusion motivated by plunder and a breakdown of order, often associated with the turmoil and lawlessness surrounding the wider conflict.
