इच्छेयं त्वत्प्रसादाद्धि तपस्तप्तुं प्रजेश्वर । प्रदिशेमं वरं देव त्वं महां भगवन् प्रभो,प्रजेश्वर! मैं आपकी कृपासे तपस्या करना चाहती हूँ। देव! भगवन्! प्रभो! आप मुझे यही वर प्रदान करें
iccheyaṁ tvatprasādād dhi tapastaptuṁ prajeśvara | pradiśemaṁ varaṁ deva tvaṁ mahān bhagavan prabho ||
इच्छेयं त्वत्प्रसादाद्धि तपस्तप्तुं प्रजेश्वर । प्रदिशेमं वरं देव त्वं महां भगवन् प्रभो ॥
नारद उवाच
The verse emphasizes that spiritual discipline (tapas) is most fruitfully undertaken with humility and divine sanction: austerity is not mere self-will but a vowed practice grounded in reverence, ethical intention, and the grace of the higher power addressed as Prajeśvara.
Nārada, speaking in a deferential tone, petitions a supreme lord (Prajeśvara) for a specific boon—permission and support to perform tapas—framing the request as dependent on the deity’s favor and authority.
