यद्येवमेतत् कर्तव्यं मया न स्याद् विना प्रभो
yadyevametat kartavyaṃ mayā na syād vinā prabho
नारद उवाच—यद्येवमेतत्, प्रभो, तर्हि त्वां विना मया अस्मिन् विषये कर्तुं न युक्तम्।
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights ethical restraint and propriety: even when a duty seems clear, one should not act unilaterally but in alignment with rightful authority and guidance, especially in consequential matters.
Nārada responds to a superior (addressed as “prabho”), indicating that if the situation is as described, he should not proceed to do what is required without that lord’s involvement or consent.
