Educational Q&A

Even in war, effective action is shown as disciplined and purposeful: warriors move in coordinated formation, driven by a clear objective—often framed as protection of comrades and fulfillment of duty (svadharma) rather than uncontrolled rage.

Sañjaya reports that the Pandava side, with troops properly arrayed, rushes forward together to strike and to pursue a specific tactical aim—contextually, the effort to enter the enemy formation and safeguard Abhimanyu amid the crisis of the battle-array.
