tau śaraiś chādayāmāsa virāṭa-drupadāv ubhau |

सञ्जय उवाच—क्षत्रियमर्दनः द्रोणाचार्यः स्वशरैस्तां शरवृष्टिं प्रतिहत्य, विराटं द्रुपदं चोभौ शरैश्छादयामास।
