सञ्जय उवाच—गतसत्त्वो निरुत्साहः पतितः खाद्धयदृश्यत।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the fragility of bodily might and the moral warning that violence and pride can end in sudden ruin; true support is inner steadiness—courage, restraint, and clarity—rather than mere physical power.
Sañjaya reports that a mighty combatant (described in the accompanying Hindi gloss as a huge rākṣasa) has lost strength and morale and is seen falling on the battlefield, cut into many pieces as he comes down.
