सञ्जय उवाच—महाराज! एवं प्रतिज्ञां कृत्वा प्रस्थलाधिपतिः पुरुषसिंहः त्रिगर्तराजः सुशर्मा भ्रातृभिः सह युद्धशपथग्रहणार्थं निर्जगाम। स मावेल्लकैः कैललितैश्च मद्रकैश्च सहितः, रथानामयुतेन बलसमन्वितः प्रस्थितः।
संजय उवाच
