Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the instability of power in war: even a mighty warriors advantage can vanish in an instant. Ethically, it reflects the Mah01bh01ratas sober view that martial prowess (ketra-valor) operates within a larger moral and fateful economy, where violence brings swift, often irreversible consequences.

Sanjaya reports to Dhtar01ra that Bhimasena, with great speed and accurate aim, hurls his mace at Duryodhanas chariot; the weapon suddenly strikes down Duryodhanas horses in the midst of combat, disrupting his chariot in the battle scene.
